If Luis signs he would have 2 weeks to prove that he could take on Cullen’s role allowing the captain to adopt the attacking midfield role. Cullen is quick, creative, can tackle, anticipates and has proved he can finish.

Re: A well earned rest.
It’s great that we have a full team of “fringe” players that should see off Reading.
This gives us a very, very good break to fully prepare for a vital home game against an impressive Sunderland, who meanwhile will have to get past a stubborn Stoke side to progress in the FA Cup.

Foster/ Rodriguez
Bench to include:

About a month ago in one of Parker’s interviews he singled out Koleosho and Trafford as two ‘young players with enormous potential’. Foster, Ramsey = a few weeks away ( must mean new year) Benson behind them. Scott bigging up Trafford and Koleosho (hopefully not with a view to the January window) 3 centre halves getting game time. No news on Lord Lucan.

Here’s my take, The first 5 games were challenging and took us to the end of August i.e. the end of the transfer window. During that time we played Luton (perceived as a likely promotion rival). Cardiff ( trying to play expansive football). Sunderland + Leeds (who have both proved to be top Champion...
