Re: Glastonbury
If I go to watch an artist/band live, I expect that it's "live" and not pre-recorded.
I much prefer a warts and all performance than a staged musical which I have seen from several act this year.
For me, Gary Numan being a big disappointment in this.

Similarly for me I'm tempted once more to have another go at Moby Dick. Stopped halfway through over a year ago and was told by a few people that I should have continued. Considering 'The Canterbury Tales' which I'm ashamed to say have never interested me. Anyone here with any advice for Moby Dick ...

Thursday night Disco down the Black Bull was a great night for scouting out the local girls. We used to alternate Thursday nights , pay day, between the Bull and The Prairie as a lot of student nurses went in the Prairie. Those were my haunts in the early 80s. So not a hassle, but a bit more effort and planning than an ICE for sure. A trade-off I'm happy with. For me it would be a hassle! As an example: This week I drove from York to Bristol and back on a tank of petrol with an overnight stay. I didn't stop on either leg, as I want to get the trip over w...

I had mine done 20+ years ago and I still have better than 20-20 vision at distance. As I'm getting on I have found that recently I have started to need reading glasses.
I would highly recommend it. As your say... It's liberating.

When I was tiny in the mid 60s I remember my dad taking me to a pub somewhere behind the Black Bull, Marsden Road way.
I called it the Naked Eye, but I could be totally wrong. It also could have been a working mens club.
Any ideas?
