If I go to watch an artist/band live, I expect that it's "live" and not pre-recorded.
I much prefer a warts and all performance than a staged musical which I have seen from several act this year.
For me, Gary Numan being a big disappointment in this.

I had mine done 20+ years ago and I still have better than 20-20 vision at distance. As I'm getting on I have found that recently I have started to need reading glasses.
I would highly recommend it. As your say... It's liberating.

When I was tiny in the mid 60s I remember my dad taking me to a pub somewhere behind the Black Bull, Marsden Road way.

Turned down an engineering apprenticeship at BEP, to my dad's dismay, and went to Blackburn College to do Computer Science OND. Worked in IT (new name) since 1980 (Hepworth Ind Plastics in Hapton), and now ready for the slag heap... My current role is worldwide so I've seen a fair bit of this planet...
