Had a couple of pints of ‘Favela’ in the fanzone, thought it tasted like generic, overpriced swill, exacerbated by being served in paper cups. The pop up Guinness bar wasn’t working, either. Didn’t have a Haffner’s pie on the Turf (picked some up from the shop on the way past) but if they can heat t...

Lots seem to be laying the blame on the loss on Ballard going off injured.
Imagine my surprise when looking up his career to find out that he’s not some World Cup winning superstar that they’d signed in the summer from Real Madrid but is instead just a journeyman centre half.

As above (and with Flemming on the other thread), we’re two games into the season. Anything could happen yet. Perhaps it’s a horses for courses job. Sunderland are side of big lads. Maybe Parker felt it might prove to be too physical a game for him. In the second half on one of our corners I actual...

I thought his 20/25 mins on the pitch was hugely promising. He was winning headers from goal kicks against their centre back, his touch looked good, and he's definitely got that Premier League build and athleticism about him. The technique for his shot at goal was pretty good too. In terms of his p...

There were lots of fans with the new home shirt on today and more than a few with ‘DHGate’ versions which were a very different colour with the claret being on the warmer side towards red.
I have to say I preferred the colour of the knock off versions.
