Re: Access for home fans
I think what naffs people off is the whining before they've even experienced something. As shows with this thread, there were absolutely no problems at the game. People claiming people are going to die etc is massively over the top. I understand there'll be an odd person it affects if they are stru...

Just to be clear, I don't agree with the changes, but there's a lot of over reaction, people calling it the gate of death etc etc A lot of football grounds have bottlenecks, with far more fans going through than at turf moor. I don't park up there, but I know that a lot do. The route through the memorial gardens onto Holcombe Drive and joining Belvedere Road is about 435m longer than it is from the west side of the JH stand and walking up Ormerod Yard. That's a fair bit of extra distance that can't exactly be walked qui...

Re: Summer 2025 BFC Transfer Window - Links and discussion on the Linked player only.
The squad place argument is an odd one anyway. You don’t want a big squad of players who think they should be playing regardless of age. I’d imagine if Burnley had a squad of 25 senior players, plus young players good enough to be in around the team, and we were losing a lot of games, then morale in...

I think part of the problem here is those involved in the decision never vacate Turf Moor immediately after the game. I don’t even think they realise how congested it was whichever way you went with both exits from the perimeter to the north west and south east narrowing. They’ve effectively made it...

Re: New Layout of Cricket Field
Congestion has been a problem at the ground after games for some time now, which was made even worse when they started fencing in all the media vehicles. Somewhere in the region of 16,000 people have had to disperse from the ground footprint through 2 reasonably narrow exits. For some time I’ve felt...

Too many managers and executives on £100k plus, bleeding the system of what it actually needs, simple as that. I left the NHS in 1989, and it was bad then. Having had several hospital stays in the time since, it hasn't got any better looking in from the outside. Needs sacking off and starting again...

Worth noting that if the rumours are to be believed we need to make a profit this season to comply with PSR. So even if Elon Musk bought us out, we'd still not be able to spend any more this season. Fees will slightly be inflated, as we're on a new TV deal, so apart from transfer income I'd imagine ...

Few mentions for Kelbrook earlier. It’s actually been best part of 20 years since it was top notch. The couple running it left in 2007 to set up Banny’s. I think there’s a couple of things that have happened. The basket case clubs have all but disappeared, at least for the time being. You can’t force this kind of thing. It has to be natural. When you look at the songs people associate with “club anthem”, the song was popular at the time it started, or the artist is local singing about the area. Most of the time, the fans still sing the original lyrics as well. Times Like These is...
