Won't be everyone's cup of tea, but I find Dale Johnson's weekly VAR review on the ESPN website informative. I still hate VAR, but at least it stops me being all old man shouting at the sky, whether as a neutral or wearing claret tinted specs. It's especially helpful as guidelines for when VAR shoul...

I’m never sure how being dogmatic about why a player shouldn’t have been signed and why he’ll never be any good is part of supporting your team. Takes all sorts. And before the usual snowflakes start with “I’m allowed an opinion” type clap trap, the key word there was dogmatic. Personally, I’d rathe...

Players who looked awful in the 3-0 defeat at Preston last year... Brownhill, Esteve, Foster, Flemming, Edwards. Maybe it is changing 10-11 players and putting them in an unusual shape with passive tactics that is the problem. Under Dyche and now Parker it's a issue that we see the cup as a glorifie...

The squad place argument is an odd one anyway. You don’t want a big squad of players who think they should be playing regardless of age. I’d imagine if Burnley had a squad of 25 senior players, plus young players good enough to be in around the team, and we were losing a lot of games, then morale in...
