Saw gazza at Fratton Park not long after he signed...he was a substitute ....as he was stripping down to come on everybody from both sets of supporters gave a spontaneous round of applause .....which..... with a huge grin ....gazza acknowledged ....only for seconds later the portsmouth fans to belt ...

I have noticed as the season goes on some occurrences of showboating. .. recently some outrageous and unnecessary interpassing and very often some ridiculous ball control trickery .... well don't like it ......

Way back in the 1972/73 season we set off on a season with high hopes ..older wise players like Keith Newton etc...and young hungry players like Leighton James Paul fletcher etc alongside Martin dobson ..a genuine great .....we won promotion to the old 1st division playing scintillating football ......
