Re: BFC partnership with X
It’s problematic, but all the main football news and content remains on X. If that’s where most fans are still going to engage with football, it’s not hard to understand why the club have chosen to partner with them to increase exposure. There’s no bigger demonstration of the quandary than The Athle...

Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
I'm evaluating it on its own merits, and it simply doesn't justify this level of hype or platform. Countless exceptional women athletes and sports receive far less promotion, and that shootout was laughably amateur. It’s “platform” is probably based on the fact that female football is now the most ...

That love-in is from people who really cannot see any pitfalls whatsoever and people who cannot see any fault whatsoever in the way our club was bought or is run. If it wasn't a serious matter, it would be laughable. Thankfully we have a good manager who knows what's needed and let's hope he gets t...

Re: Pace/ALK set to buy Espanyol?
I’m not remotely interested in the fortunes of Espanyol and the social media love-in currently taking place between the two sets of fans is frankly bizarre. No doubt it’ll soon sour once one of the two clubs becomes subservient to the other. What I’m interested in is getting our team ready for a tou...

Wow. Obviously a shocking act. But they are really heavy sentences. People literally get less for taking a life or other serious violent crimes. Im not sure that's a scenario that I could personally tolerate. Me neither. Seems to be the school of thought in the Spanish media that Espanyol will be the longer term senior partner in this deal which fills me with nothing but dread.
We can only hope it’s nothing more than a a bit of hollow briefing to butter up the Espanyol fans.

Re: Summer transfer window
Chris Wood cost us £15m back in 2017. He was also 25 at the time and had very little Premier League experience.
As I said above, if the club genuinely believe he can deliver for us in the top flight, £20m doesn’t seem that big a gamble 8 years later.

The average number of goals scored by the 4 teams finishing 14-17th in 2024-25 was 52 (and it was skewed by Spurs scoring 64 – more than several teams in the top 8). In 2023-24 it was 49. In 2022-23 it was 38 and in 2021-22 it was 45. Obviously it also depends on how good we are defensively (as Spur...

We'd love to have Scott Parker on the pod or any of the current staff or players - and yes, it's not for want of trying. What questions do you want answers to? It’s a generic point. The questions will vary from month to month. There'd probably be more if a chance of getting someone like pace or Williams on if there wasn't an ex employee that the current regime sacked on there. Yeh I think Tresor may be the other to go with Benson. Really want Tresor to prove his worth if he’s fit but it seems highly unlikely. That’s a fair point, but I would argue it’s a waste of resources purely in the respect that it’s our most resourced area of the pitch. I would go as far as saying I think it’s actually the last position on the pitch we needed another body Well that largely depends on Parker and the clubs plans for ...

Arguing that this is a waste of resources is really only valid if JBL has been signed instead of or at the expensive of positions of more need. I’m not sure we really needed another wide man either, but I’m pretty sure his arrival will have zero bearing on whether we strengthen the central midfield ...

Agree with this as well. That’s the stand out deal from a cost perspective. If Esteve and Trafford did go, you’d have to expect the club to sanction a few deals that broke our transfer record, either to replace them or strengthen elsewhere.
Staying in the Prem is tough enough, without offloading your best players and trying to survive on the cheap.
