Bad move from the club.
They’ve likely lost a fan in the POTUS now.
Nah, he's a Chelsea fan/player so wouldn't be bothered with us Clarets

I'm so pleased you have got a team for your child Rooster; that's the most important thing here. I'm surprised the welfare officer responded with "coaches can do as they wish" as I thought (well it was when I was involved) the overall FA mantra of "football is for everyone" was part of the club agre...

I shut down my long standing account on Twitter when I realised Musk was buying the election for our racist, felony ridden "friend" in the elections. But, as agreenwood says, it is the best site for football news and general news if used correctly. I have set up a new account just two days ago but I...

At what age do you think it would be appropriate to start telling kids they aren't good enough for next season? I genuinely don't think there is a definitive age. I ran a team from U4's to 16's and never told a player to leave based on ability. I think from 13/14's and upwards certain players reali...

Tiddlywinks world championship final.
The last tiddle - it needs to drop - one little chip and the plastic counter skirts the rim of the cup and finally, agonisingly, drops in! The remaining 2 people in the crowd who have stayed awake go as wild as their zimmers allow as I bask in winking glory.

Thank you, Chester, for putting more meat on the bones. Pretty complicated stuff to be honest! I suppose we have to hope it's all manageable debt but it does indicate a high risk strategy (cover by player sales, pressure to remain in the PL etc). We have to trust Pace and his team it's all in hand!?...

Burnley are doing a lot more player trading than the club has ever done before. Most/all of this is being financed with borrowings either from banks/other financial institutions or by credit agreed with the selling club. When ALK acquired BFCHL they took out a loan of £65 million from MSD. This loa...

I have to admit I didn't notice it at the game but both my lads watching on TV messaged me saying the freekick was nowhere near where it should have been. I really do like Jackson.
That interview really begs the question "what did Parker do to get a red?" - it sounds as though that's the one we may have a chance of appealing, if indeed you can when it's a manager?

CJ got pointlessly barged after the final whistle blew. He decided to stupidly retaliate. It’s a ridiculously soft red card but hard to see how an appeal will be successful. That's exactly as I saw it (live) and called the red straight away. Their 19 got away with murder though, he really was a sho...

It's fair enough, I haven't said Pires is brilliant by any means, I just don't think the stick he gets is fair really. The comment about him in the wall is a bit silly, he jumped and tried to block but the free kick is sensational he got a real loop on it to get it up and down. Apart from that foul...

I'm a bit baffled about the overreaction to a few performances today. Pires misjudged a challenge for the first goal, did the right thing to foul once he's misjudged it rather than let him get away. Brady then sticks one in the top corner from 30 yards. For the rest he was pretty average, him and E...

Think the same. Sheffield needed a second when they were on top in the first half. As stated earlier, there was no way Sheffield could keep that energy up for the full game.

The way the game has gone so far I feel Sheffield will need, and are really pushing, for a second. They won't keep this pace and aggression up all game so will leave chances for DL.

Slight shirt pull but deserved to be overturned for Young’s dive. How having your shirt pulled ends up with legs in the air so high, he’d challenge Bertie Bee for a decent ‘worm’. I do think Young well and truly exaggerated the fall but when the ref has given it and then you see two shirt pulls on ...

Only watched on TV so can't score but if there was ever a ref who reff'ed the game based on the dominance of one team then this is it! Just because we were 2/3/4 nil up doesn't mean handball in the box by a defender is no longer a penalty! Decision making was absolutely awful.

Defence is incredible. No denying it. But our lack of goals is that of a bottom 3 team. To win the league, you play with intent to score, knowing you will usually score more than the other team. Leeds to that. Sheffield U, although not very good, do that. We play not to concede and then hope we score. The other 2 knock over modt lesser teams. We often can't. We cut back and pass back,...
