These games should be a real challenge for our young players. The EFL trophy might be an option for our u21s but seeing the results against teams from L1 it's a big step up for even the best academies.

Could it be possible that they're thinking of adding another corner stand? You wouldn't get many seats in there but you could get a decent sized hospitality lounge. I've been thinking about this since I posted that. Looking at Googlemaps I can't see any space behind the stand on the Burnley FC side...

Probably the most successful of all the lads we've had out on loan since Adam Phillips. I don't suppose there'll be many 22 year olds who scored double figures last season who you can pick up for 350k. Good luck to the lad, I wouldn't be surprised to see him scoring 15-20 for Wigan next season.

If we'd scored 3% of our corners last season that would have contributed 7 goals. We averaged 5.26 per game , Leeds averaged 7.11. So they'd have been closer to 10 goals on 3%. Could be the best bit of business we do this summer. If Anthony, Flemming, Humphreys and Edwards are all done deals we've got the core of the team remaining going into next season. That's a much better starting point than after promotion with Kompany.

I think you're underestimating the psychology of a run in. If we lose at Watford it's back in Sheffield United's hands which is a major incentive for them, and heaps pressure on us. If we go up I'd have no hesitation in paying the reported 12m euros for him. I'd be surprised if we could get another winger of the same quality for that money. Definitely seems to have made the difference between not losing and winning more often than not.

In previous seasons it seems like our form has dipped around this time of year as the best players go out on loan. We've got Westley, Mellon, Costelloe, Richardson, Walker, Tweedy and Dodgson out on loan but the form of the U21s hasn't dipped at all.

We never score from corners. Could add a few goals between now and the end of the season. Could make all the difference between top two or third. I'm surprised we haven't added that string to our bow. Roberts' long throw is another under utilised weapon.

What's interesting is that under Dyche we seemed to fail consistently when we played the fringe players. We now seem to be able to play an almost complete second string against decent opposition and everyone is sharp and knows their role. Parker seemed to suggest that Edwards isn't fully fit yet but...

Bevan and Westley on opposite sides for Carlisle v Swindon for the last 20 minutes. Westley added the third and was inches away from touching in Swindon's 5th in their 5-1 win.
