I'm definitely stuck in the middle regarding this game. Liverpool are my second team, and while I totally agree no team deserves success but Newcastle fans filled St James Park through their darkest days. Geordie fans do deserve some success. Au contraire. Season Ave D1 Ave AP LP 80/81 16,004 24,68...

He isn't a No.9.
In fact he's just a very ordinary footballer who can't cut it even at Champ level and who got a lucky break when dear Vincent picked him up.
I'm fed up of hearing excuses for his performances.
Time for all to admit he's not good enough and move him on.

He has scored 25 goals in 154 apps - not good enough.
See my post on the first page of this thread.
Look at his record over several years and it's poor for a supposed 'striker.'
Folk will eventually stop making excuses for him and come to the conclusion he's just not that good.

I watched on tv in the comfort of my own home. It was dire "entertainment" and had the same performance been between say Leeds and Sheff Utd (two teams I'm not remotely interested in) then even if I'd tuned in, I'd probably have switched off after about 20 mins. Because it was my team, I watched the...

Dross.
I have honestly seen more competence in Under-15 teams.
At Liverpool, 60 yrs ago, Bill Shankly said get the ball, look up and pass it forwards to the nearest bloke in a red shirt.
Parker could learn from that, assuming his players can pass. (possibly not)

Foster if he is given service will score goals. Based on his whole career he might just manage 1 in every 6. So if he ever does play a 46 game Champ season, you can expect about 7 or 8 goals. I have nothing against the bloke and wish him well - I just happen to think he's not a very good striker.

I posted on another thread a while ago that if you wiki his career stats, they're pretty poor from a supposed "striker."
Dress it up all you want but forgetting the missed games and his problems, he averages about one in six.
