Sure, but it was a time we saw him play to his potential, at the time you agreed. He looked leaner, quicker and sharper. Over the entire season he had more goal contributions than anyone else, despite only featuring in 2/3 of the games. He hasn’t been great in the Champ, and probably should have mo...

I don't expect either to feature until at least the second half of the season. Coming straight back into the PL after such huge lay-offs is incredible unlikely, and could trigger further injuries. A couple of loan deals, similar to Ekdal last season, would make sense. Get them back on the pitch regu...

I think we’re broadly aligned on Koleosho. My thinking is that we will likely commit up to 8 players to defensive solidity next year, 5/6 at the back and 2 defensive midfielders. Leaving 3, possibly 4, more attacking roles. If 3, I think it’s crucial all have real pace to counter and Koleosho is pr...

I think both Koleosho and Fosters pace will be very important next year - I’d rather we had them in the side than Anthony and Flemming to be honest, because I think it gives us a chance on the break that we won’t otherwise have (assuming no more signings) - but equally wouldn’t surprise me if Parke...

Most goal contributions in the entire squad in the PL last time, despite only featuring in just over half the games. 9 goals in 72 games is surely enough to see he isn't good enough? I quite like the idea of Flemming and Amdouni as a front two. They both like to drop deep, so they could alternate being 9 and 10. They clearly have different attributes. We're in big trouble if we think Foster is the answer. He needs shipping out in my opinion. He simply hasn't worked out, apart from a 6 week spell at the start of the last PL season. He's been very poor for the rest of his time here.

My concern in losing JB is more next season than this. Would much rather Barnes had a place in the squad than Hountonji, great news I agree 100%. You only need to see the reaction from the players after he scored against Luton in March. He was better at the defensive side than the offensive side that's for sure! It got to the point last season where we might as well have thrown the keeper the ball and given them a goal kick instead of bothering with taking the corner. I've never known us look so impotent from set pieces.

Oxlade-Chamberlain for free transfer and £30k a week with an option to get out of it after a year, I'd take. With his injury record that's a reasonable risk. That was my take as well. It's rumoured that we've offered Brownhill upward of £80k a week to sign, so £30k a week reads as a sensible offer....

No doubt KDB will be remembered as one of the very best. Personally, it's difficult to look past Lampard as arguably the best though. Brentford have approached Liverpool over signing their £20m-rated Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, 26.
Can anyone explain how a 26 year old goalkeeper, with less than 70 senior appearances to his name, is worth £20m? The inflated prices in the PL are just ridiculous.
