It's 15 games since joing Stuttgart in Jan. He played 12 times for Hoffenheim also last season. 27 games in a BL season is the vast majority of games.

I like both Kompany and Parker. Differing styles but they both coach a team to play it on the floor.

I actually think he's quite similar to Keane. Both good defenders with a tall lanky physique and a turn of pace but neither are particularly good on the ball. While there wasn’t a huge clamour for him to go there wasn’t a great wailing and gnashing of teeth when he did. The biggest shock was where he ended up! I also think on reflection it was probably a good juncture for him to move on. Time will tell but I do think he's a good coach with a high ceiling...

Get the feeling that there's a real veneration of the 'old guard' from certain posters but truth is they were getting older and we've replaced them with technically better and younger players with real potential to grow. I'm glad to have seen it to be honest.
