Re: Good jokes...
I went to a fund raiser for the local dyslexia society last night. It was a fantastic night until the DJ played Y.M.C.A. then all hell broke loose!

Re: I thought Lennon played for Burnley
But taking into account the "love in" that some people on this board still have with Ings, IF he scored against us for Liverpool and celebrated in any way he would get dogs abuse. Yet they can't accept another player showing a bit of respect for a previous club. For what it's worth I think any playe...

I remember the game because I'd won what was then the claret and blue bond! Got presented with a cheque for £500 on the pitch at half time. Think it was Joyce Pickles who presented it!

Ticket office
There have been occasions when the ticket office have had some stick on this board, but I want to thank them for today. Being the absolute goon, that I can be at times, I arrived at the ground with last year's season ticket. Once the turnstile operator informed me my ticket wasn't valid I went strai...

Wish I was at home!
Holiday almost over! But still got a 3 hour wait for the taxi to the airport. Which in turn is followed by an 8h 45m flight to Manchester.
This is the bit I just wish I was already home!
Is it just me or does everyone get that feeling?

Re: Cinemas that no longer exist.
Always remember my dad telling me, that there used to be loads of cinemas in Burnley and that they all began eith the letter T. Obviously as a child this used to puzzle me, until he explained. "Well there we Tivoli, t'imperial, t'empress, t'empire.......etc. Unfortunately he passed away several year...

Instrumentals
Not sure if we've had this before, if we have I apologise.
Currently on holiday and whilst listening to my iPod on shuffle, Going Home by Mark Knopfler came on.
Not heard it for a long time and I still think it's a great track.
Just wondering what anyone else's favourite instrumental tracks are?

I like the look of Tom Kerridge's dishes.
But as sexy as Nigella is, she doesn't come close to Rachel Khoo!

Remember him well. Quite a strict teacher but certainly a good one.HatfieldClaret wrote:My uncle taught geography at Gawthorpe at about that time. Tony Lloyd-Davies, a welsh claret. He passed away only a few weeks ago.
Never knew he was a Claret!
Sorry to here about his passing. Thoughts go out to his family.
