Re: Summer transfer window
I can't help but feel a bit perplexed by this signing (not the first time for me either recently). I like JBL but he's not moving the needle much, and I'm just not sure why we needed him at this time, with our bloated squad. I would much rather that the money/wages were put towards that strong midfi...

Glad there was a happy result in the end Rooster and sorry you and your kid had to go through all that. Unfortunately you probably won't hear from the FA as generally they are under resourced and have to prioritise what they deal with, and some County FA's (i.e. Sussex down where I am) are pretty sh...

Speak to the club Head of Youth, Chairman or Safeguarding Officer, and ask them if they find if what has happened is acceptable (it isn't). A lack of available pitches is the biggest issue in many areas, and is clearly stopping the game from growing as it could. My club has it's own 11v11 and 9v9 pitch and 2 teams at most age groups, so next year, to protect the pitches, we have no choice other than to up the fees to hire elsewhere for ...

Re: Kids football teams
It's poor coaching in my opinion, or a poor club culture driving this. Kids develop at different speeds and they can't handle that rejection at that age, and they shouldn't have to. Tbh, I think some kids at 14 or 15 would struggle to handle this, especially when they have friendships in the group. ...

Think their game plan was to kick us off the park today, but they should have realised this Ref was giving everything right from the start of the match, and then should have reigned it in when the yellows started flying.

One of the reasons I want the VAR commentary to be heard when decisions are being made, is so that it will hopefully educate everyone about why decisions are made and the process referees are trained to follow. It's a clear penalty, due to the challenge being careless, the attacker was clearly taken out by the sliding defender. I don't like making such a fundamental change, that gives more advantage to attackers. Defenders will have to play deeper as they are generally at a big disadvantage already as attackers are running in the direction they are facing so quicker. It also doesn't take away the time it takes to check VAR...

Never understood why they don't simplify it by using the players heads when drawing the offside line, it's much clearer to see, would probably speed up the process, and would prevent the big toe arguments. Thought VK was a young manager who would play modern style attacking football similar to Pep. I think we need a 2nd VAR, for clear and obvious errors, like ones made by the two numpties who sent off Lowton last night.
