Re: Networking via this board

Great post and just shows the power of the board. Sorry to hijack but your experience has made me wonder - I'm a Primary teacher and we are facing a really tough budget next academic year meaning many of the workshops we have paid for in the past we can no longer afford but I wondered if we had anyo...

I'd argue his style is not 'attacking'. It's more possession for possession's sake.

Re: Summer transfer window

Getting sent off and throwing hissy fits is now classed as showing some spirit. That sending off was scandalous to be fair. His theatrics against Spurs were an utter embarrassment and put a huge question mark over his mentality but let's not pretend he wasn't a big upgrade on Roberts in terms of ph...

Spain called up Yamal at 16. France called up Zaire-Emery at 17. No issues with Tuchel calling up a very talented young player in a position we are light and have been for years.

Re: BurnleyFC ISA - A New Supporters Association

I've recently become a member of the Clarets Trust after a post on here about it. I got the impression at the time that the plan was to become something similar to this group's aim, although I've had no communication other than recieving a username and password for their website. Are the 2 groups go...

Re: The Fans

We got into great areas in the first half, playing some lovely football in the process, but at the minute we aren't executing the final pass or shot as well as we should. The second half was much poorer but we never really looked troubled by a team who've scored plenty recently. Injury time was a ma...

1-0 to the Burnley

Spotted this post on Facebook and thought it might interest a few. In all, 113 different score lines have been achieved in more than 135 years of league football (when considering, for example, winning 12-2 being different from losing 2-12). Before the start of the 2024/25 season, the following club...

Re: Big side

Gray, Summerville, Kamara, Cresswell, Ayling All features heavily last season and have left. The first four listed there were arguably the core of the team. Cresswell made 7 appearances last season - definitely not part of their core. And Ayling was on loan at Middlesbrough for the second half of t...

Re: Cricket club/Fanzone

I thought that too but she's overly cautious following a couple of dodgy trips to the Turf in the past so promised I'd double check! Her main concern was that they'd check tickets and only allow home fans in which I know isn't policy at either venue but wasn't sure if that changed for 'derby days'.

Will PNE fans be okay in either of these places for a pre-match drink? Meeting an old uni friend and due to time constraints somewhere close to the ground would be best. They won't be wearing colours. Thanks for any advice.

Limited English, but sounds like he'll have enough to take the basics of the football pitch. Doesn't come across as really enthusiastic to be honest, but that could be as much to do with language barrier. I just think the more we can make him feel at home, the better he can be. I was a doubter that...

Taken from elsewhere but really made me see it in a different light: Lots of posts of a very negative nature about The Hundred. Well, here's a thing.... It's not really aimed at us. My two 10 year old daughters are fascinated by it, and The Hundred makes sense to them. None of the complex terms, etc...

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS SUMMER 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)

With JBG, Brownhill and a new addition we should have enough players to cover the right wing. As much as I appreciate Brady as a player, and sympathise with him in relation to how injury set him back just as things were coming good for him, he didn't look particularly enthusiastic in any of the lat...

How each team defends...

Came across this brilliant graphic demonstrating the areas of the pitch in which each team does most of their defending. It shows how effective our high press is with our strikers working hard to close down allowing Westwood and Cork to pounce on loose balls in midfield. We are only bettered by they...
