Good job we sacrificed the cup to rest players. We might not have scored without all that extra energy, and had to suffer another 5-0.

It’s a penalty for me. If he’d gone down instead of getting his shot away it would’ve been given. It’s still a foul and should’ve been given. These decisions don’t help in encouraging players to stay on their feet.

Might have been better playing our first team in the cup and making 11 changes for City. I think you’re maybe saying it half in jest, but it’s exactly what I’d do. We’ll get nothing on Saturday, rested players or not, but we could’ve been looking at beating Wrexham for a place in the last 8. Gettin...

Was looking forward tonight to seeing some quality fringe players busting a gut to prove they’re good enough for the first eleven. Don’t know what tonight was, but it definitely wasn’t that. Are they sulking? Don’t care? Or just not good enough?

I certainly don't enjoy football like I used to, I only watch Burnley, I don't even bother with England games or any televised games. Shilton was class at his best but outstayed his welcome by at least 25 caps I thought he was past it at Mexico 86, so it seems ridiculous that he still kept the shirt at Italia 90 at the age of 40. There’s a few thing misremembered (we didn’t finish 7th the season after we won 4th Division for example) but you’d expect that when it’s over 30 years ago. Some great memories looking at that list. Really brings home how good the Dyche era was.
The exception being the 1-0 at Bournemouth. Absolutely awful game. I barely celebrated the late winner, as the match had practically sucked the life out of me.

Depends who they are though. If we had McNeil, Wood, Tarkowski and Pope playing for us next season we'd have a far better chance of surviving than with the current squad and whoever we are likely to sign in addition.
