Re: From the Bee Hole End podcast…

Just on Bentley, he was previously a reporter for the LET wasn’t he before he got the job at Burnley? He was definitely working for the Accrington Observer at one time. He did the weekly Clarets round up in the sports section. Love the podcast and find Daz quite realistic as opposed to pessimistic.

On the subject of local media, I do believe there's a concerted effort to move things away from local communities and take away the local voice. I believe this will continue unabated until every bit of media we consume will come from Silicon Valley California. Globalism.

I don't disagree, but with a full replay clubs could also instigate a floodlight failure if losing with a few minutes to go to force a rematch.
Good point.

Re: Rovers v Ipswich... What Should Happen?

If the result was to stand, it would set a precedent, and therefore clubs could possibly instigate floodlight failures for example. Safe in the knowledge that after 80 minutes the points are safe. I think the only logical outcome is to replay the whole game, or the remaining 10 minutes plus stoppage...

One of my biggest bugbears is the official attendance. It could actually be announced a couple of days before the match. I'm interested in the actual gate, turnstile clicks, bums on seats. I don't even look at the attendance now. I find it totally irrelevant. They are no longer interesting.

I certainly don't enjoy football like I used to, I only watch Burnley, I don't even bother with England games or any televised games. Usually hate the premier league but ive enjoyed it enough so far this season, I think because my expectations are so low these days. I don't get as emotional as I us...

Cracking little player but made of glass. The way he plays invites the late foot in. If he can remain injury free he'll do well down there. They'll love him.

Yes they have a illustrious history but that is in the past, championship teams at best if they ever attempt to venture into the English league system On the contrary. If they ventured into the English game, and one would imagine they'd be Premier League before long, they'd have the revenue streams....

They are big clubs. It's just the ridiculous amount of money generated in the English top tier, and to a lesser extent the Championship that makes the difference. I'm not particular fond of either of The Old Firm. But they are both cracking clubs with illustrious histories.

Really feel for the lad. But he's always going to be prone to injury because he's not physically up to this level. He gets bullied. Last night he looked like he was running through treacle which enabled the Derby play to catch up and barge him, resulting in the injury.
