I'm heading off to Munich this Saturday. I'm actually staying in a beautiful alpine town 1 hour south by train. The train journey is breathtaking. Once in the town you could go to the winter Olympic centre and see the terrifying ski jumps and toboggan runs. The town is called Garmisch - Partenkirche...

Take a sandwich with you. You will have to wait in a ward after the procedure which could take some time. It's then that you realise you haven't eaten anything for over a day.

Update on Colonoscopy

Well, I had the procedure on September 9th and you were all right, a bit of a weird sensation but certainly not painful. I was told I would get the results between 2 to 4 weeks as I had 3 polyps removed. After 5 weeks I received nothing so I rang the hospital and they said they would send the result...

A good friend of mine reminded me that on this day the ball boys ran into the circle and waved to the four corners of the ground. It was full of Leeds fans that day who weren't generous with their applause. In case you're wondering why this event happened and continued for a number of years is becau...

I've stayed in many UK hotels over a number of years and recently decided to try air bnb. Hotels have become quite expensive now especially if you only use them for sleeping as I'm out all day. That's why I tried airbnb. They can be much more reasonably priced(especially if you have stayed at one be...
