Tom Hark was the walk out tune in 1991/92, way before anyone had even considered goal music. A lot of teams used it after us, Sheffield Utd, for example. Trailblazers.

The week we signed him I was in Lisbon and the guy who owned our airbnb was a Benfica fan. He said he’s a really good player if you need someone who just breaks up play and gives it simple. Underselling him a touch on what I’ve seen so far and he’ll only get better when fully settled into this league.

Re: RATE THE REF - Thomas Bramall v Nottingham Forest
Just another really poor referee for this level. The booking of Florentino was ridiculous, it’s just a collision and set such a low bar it was inexplicable that Forest got no cards in the 1st half, let alone until the 92nd minute. Another who is happy to let players take the **** out of him as well,...

Another really good performance. Don’t think we needed to set up with a back 5 against teams like forest as, although the midfielders did well, forest had control of it in there by virtue of numbers more than anything else. Second half was miles better with Walker pushing right up but it’s our final...

The trendy northern zone and Ancoats are both sound for a pint, there’s a decent crawl to be had. Nearest place to the ground is Diecast, a former metalworks on Ducie Street, which has a decent selection for a big gaff. Food is good enough too. 15-20 mins walk to the etihad, just over great ancoats ...

Watching on TV got all the big decisions correct Every decision is a big decision. Everything that happens in football affects what happens next. He’s a poor referee and always has been. On our part we have to learn to manage these referees better. We know Oliver is going to be looking for the slightest thing to give the big clubs the points, that’s how he’s always been, overawed by the big name players. Don’t give him the chance. Excellent defensive performance from the entire 11 and Florentino when he came on - he’ll be starting in no time. Make no mistake, Liverpool are one of the best teams in the world and they needed a bit of naivety on our part and a harsh last minute penalty to beat us. Dubravka 9 a couple of routine ...

We don’t need any of that ********.
All we need is a ref and 2 liners on the pitch making honest decisions, good or bad. Add goal line technology and we’re done.
Put the trust in the officials to make decisions and they’ll become better for it. Var has killed the game.
