Apart from the two relegation seasons since Dyche took over, we weren't involved in relegation fights. In fact, the five seasons prior to our 2021/22 relegation yielded an average league position of precisely 13th.

I did, my point is you can't expect a country to change to suit you (when in Rome) etc... you have to adjust your expectations ... or leave. I agree. I wouldn't say Portugal's general inefficiency was why I left, though. There were other reasons. But as the last poster said above, living/holidaying...

Tony Waiters came out of retirement to play for us when Peter Mellor was injured. He impressed with his consistency after a slightly shaky start. I realise Martin Dubravka wasn't retired, but he hadn't been playing regularly.
