This week he's apparently already been invited to trials with Salford, Blackpool and..... Cyprus top of league Apollon this week and no doubt lots of other clubs now after this last 2 month's goals and assists with no losses in all his appearances. Re: U18's v Rovers today
Apparently Couch (not Hugill) got the assist again last night.
So his last 4 games (3 wins and 1 draw) are goal, assist, goal, assist...wonder what he'll get v Everton away this weekend if he's selected ?

Re: U18's v Rovers today
....these are the released Will Couch's last 3 games for Burnley U18s.
Middlesbrough 0- 1 Burnley (goal)
Burnley 1 -1 Sunderland (assist)
Blackburn 1-2 Burnley (goal)
It's a brutal very subjective game.

Billie Bean mentions Burnley
Billie Bean is the guy that the film Moneyball was based on. In this short documentary he uses Burnley and Manchester United as an example of his Oakland budget versus New York Yankees https://youtu.be/lLcXH_4rwr4 Very interesting as we enter the silly season of buying and selling players. Fame at l...

Re: Academy Granted Category 1 ststus
Agreed all......look at some of the players coming through now from Cat 1 academies. Greenwood at Man United, Foden Man City, 2 lads for Liverpool today. Our academy should either produce good lads for us or decent lads to sell. What a result today....UTC

Re: Academy Granted Category 1 ststus
I echo ClaretTony and other positive comments PLUS ..my Cat 3 to Cat 1 analogy is likened to this in business . We've gone from local then regional buyer and seller of products to multinational. We'll attract many suitors (players and businesses from all over the world) and everything must have a va...

Re: Sunday Times - 38 days when Britain sleepwalked into disaster
2 old sayings jump out to me regarding this article and our current or indeed any government 1. You're damned if you do or damned if you don't. 2. Hindsight is an exact science. Sure we've made mistakes and too many lives have already been lost. Covid19 just wasn't on anyone's priority list until it...

How long can we keep Dwight?
Firstly I can only endorse the positive comments made by others following Dwight's involvement alongside young academy lads here last week. https://twitter.com/BurnleyOfficial/status/1250357707623862279?s=08 He appears so grounded and humble ie a perfect Burnley player and role model . So...How long...

BFC academy strategy
This video is quite an interesting insight into Burnley's plans. https://youtu.be/PcphxlJq2uY
There's a couple of points worth mentioning.
1. Barnfield rather than Gawthorpe seems to have now become an area near Padiham.
2. Dwight Mc Neil seems to have been overlooked as an Academy success story.

Re: ARTICLE: Thompson goals see youths start year with a win
Just for ClarEty or Clarity....the lad mentioned earlier in these posts is Will Couch NOT CRouch but he does have an Uncle Peter Couch and not Peter Crouch. He is known as Couchy and not Crouchy and he is U16 although he is still only 15 (August). I trust this is as clear as mud. Regards Crouch Pota...
