Re: 2025/26: Tottenham Hotspur V Burnley – Ticket Information
The club surely know when they have to let each of the other clubs know about the required allocation so it can’t be beyond the wit of a Premier League club to request fans indicate just before that date if they are planning on attending. Whilst the method is open to some issues surely it would help...

Re: Bee Hole End Podcast feature about Burnley FC ISA
I listened to the excellent From the Bee Hole End podcast today and found the guys from BFCISA to be engaging and articulate. In these times where fans, especially match going fans, are being marginalised right across elite football it’s great to have an association that looks out for the interests ...

Re: Pace/ALK set to buy Espanyol?
The latest numbers beting quoted are interesting deal value of EUR 130m - with EUR 65m upfront and EUR 65m of shares in Velocity Sports Limited (Jersey) giving RASTAR 16.45% of VSL (which values VSL at EUR 395m) There are reports of an opportunity for Velocity to buy back those shares for a premium...

Re: Heckenhurst Avenue , Burnley
If they keep allowing the building of houses in and around Worsthorne ( including right behind my house) the whole area will have to be deemed a mega city. 😟 I suppose on the bright side the football club might attract an oil state takeover and we too can become a soulless sports washing exercise in...

Re: Pace/ALK set to buy Espanyol?
I was totally against the Pace/ALK takeover initially cos of major financial doubts that could ruin BFC. I am now more than satisfied as to how everything has worked out and have complete trust in Alan Pace and the board to move Burnley FC forwards. AP's reactions during each and every game he atte...

Re: Applications open to join Fan Advisory Board
Hypothetically, this new group think differently about an issue than the other groups, which way do those involved in both jump? Like I said I wish them all well. The names of the volunteers that have established the ISA are listed on their website and are acting as interim officers until an AGM wh...

Re: Season tickets
These types of issues are exactly the type that need to be brought to the attention of the newly launched Burnley FC Independent Supporters Association. Hopefully they will be able to put them to the club in a constructive way to try to avoid these issues occurring next season.

An independent supporters association is a great idea and one we should all get behind. I’ve joined and looking forward to being part of community of like minded Burnley fans.

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
It is now a mixed situation - by late August 2022 the £65m debt taken out to fund the takeover had its balance halved - though by mid November of that same year it was replaced by a loan for £39.7m which appears to have rolled up early redemption penalties (for the previous loan ) and possibly fees...

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
Thanks again to all contributors to this thread, every Burnley fan should take the time to read it and make an effort to understand the financial situation our club is in. I have a few questions that i'd like peoples opinons on: 1). Are the current club debts still entirely made up of the orignal lo...

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
Thanks CP and ClaretPete, it is much clearer to me now, although you've just confirmed that it is highly unlikely that the club will see a single penny returned and all the intercompany debt will be squared away as a paper exercise. It is worrying that ALK are playing financial roulette with our clu...

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
As always I'm following the discussions on this thread with interest but I'd like to get people's view on the £124.1m debt owed to BF&A and Burnley FC Holdings by who knows which of the ALK group companies. The accounts and above comments discuss the possibility of the debt being paid back by means ...

Re: ALK’s Strategy: Are We Witnessing A Failing Experiment?
Thanks everyone for your contributions to this thread, it's helping me to get to grips with the off-field tactics whilst trying to decipher the on-field tactics. A few things have jumped out to me which i think we all already knew but reading them on here it heightens my sense of risk: 1. Aggi menti...

Re: ALK’s Strategy: Are We Witnessing A Failing Experiment?
The reason I stated the ownership and the strategies of the club feels like an experiment is because of the lack of transparency and the obvious attempts to obfuscate the off-field business of the club plus the completely baffling transfer window of last summer amongst other more minor things such a...

Re: ALK’s Strategy: Are We Witnessing A Failing Experiment?
Thanks everyone for your contributions so far as it's always good to get other people's views on what is an emotional subject. Re: ALK’s Strategy: Are We Witnessing A Failing Experiment?
How many clubs are run by 'football' people. They all hire people to see to that side of the game. I think ALK have put their money where their mouth is. Foster, Odobert, Koleosho, O'shea.......we have bought many players that will make a profit. Its the team on the pitch that doesn't work, and tha...

Re: ALK’s Strategy: Are We Witnessing A Failing Experiment?
Hi Orangebernard, welcome to the board. I started going on t'Turf in 1967, so I guess maybe 1 or 2 seasons before you. I hope you, like me, enjoyed the 5-1 victory of Leeds in the season Leeds won the league. I guess you, like me, remember the sales of Ralph Coates, Martin Dobson, Dave Thomas, to m...

Re: ALK’s Strategy: Are We Witnessing A Failing Experiment?
It’s absolutely possible to make money - look at Brentford there’s talk of them going for 400m+ even if ALK get 200m for Burnley they have only put in 10-15m so they will walk away with a HUGE bag. Sustain us in the prem with lucrative TV deals, build a squad of value and upgrade the infrastructure...

Re: ALK’s Strategy: Are We Witnessing A Failing Experiment?
Correct, thats how it should be. Bring in new talent with potential to enhance the team and if they are successful sell them on and repeat. I cannot think of another reason other than the need to service debts and possibly pay some sort of return to the smaller investors in VSL why you would flood t...

Re: ALK’s Strategy: Are We Witnessing A Failing Experiment?
I agree, in theory a club of our size cannot compete without player trading being the main source of income (TV money is entirely dependent on which division we are in) but what i may have failed to get across is that i don't think that ALK are the right people to make it work. They are not football...

ALK’s Strategy: Are We Witnessing A Failing Experiment?
Firstly, apologies for the long post, but I wonder if the current on-field situation is entirely due to ALK’s goal which is primarily to make a huge amount of money for a small handful of individuals which I believe cannot succeed at a club like Burnley. Are we witnessing a failing experiment? Whils...

Re: From The Bee Hole End - live this Thursday
I wonder if its time to start to focus a little more on ALK and their influence on the unbalanced recruitment in the summer transfer window plus whether it is true that VK's own analytics company identifies players for recruitment and if so is this influencing team selections? I'd also like to hear ...

Re: Pike Hill - Water gone and Power out
It looks as though there was a gas explosion on Brownside Road just before the bridge and an electricity sub station explosion on Buttermere Ave. I think it’s safe to say these events are the reason for loss of power and water.
