Just reading the October newsletter. The VAR meeting caught my eye. 200 frames per second and 3 frames often viewed. Usain Bolt could run 6.2 cm in 1/200 of a second, so if VAR is looking at 3 frames that is a margin of error that is visual. Amazing given those technology limitations that it is not...

Whoever has made this decision has not thought this through and I can only assume that they won’t be sitting in either lower tier. I wonder if the decision was taken to only use the lower tiers and the BL so that it looks like a reasonable attendance on TV.

It does sound like the IFR will have genuine powers including removing owners, directors and senior staff from football clubs if they are threatening the existence of a club. Hopefully this will avoid the situations like at Bury and Morecambe.

That’s very positive news from BFCISA. I believe that the Football Regulator is putting fan engagement right at the forefront of their mandate in order to protect football clubs as community assets and preserve their unique heritage.
