The last of those 14 prem appearances was when? 18 months ago? He’s has an awful injury and there are no guarantees he is the same player. That wonderful season in the championship is even longer ago. He had a good game against the second string of a team that sits 21st in the championship. The pla...

Re: Deadline Day
Is Ramsay the latest player to have got better and better the less he plays? There’s a talented player in there and he needs game time, but realistically is that with us? Is that a luxury we can afford? A loan deal where he’s a guaranteed starter seems eminently sensible. He made 14 appearances in ...

Re: Deadline Day
Ramsay should stay. Played very well against Derby the full 90 mins, and on bench in the league.
Should have put him into the #10 against United rather than whoever was floating in that area after Hannibal went off.
We're not blessed with creativity, can't just use defensive midfielders to win.

Shouldn't be letting Ramsay go anywhere - he played really well for the full game against Derby and is now on the bench.
Letting him go out on loan and then having to try reintegrate him into the squad might not be the best decision.

I don't think Tchaouna offers the defensive work that Hannibal does. I think we'd really miss his work rate.warksclaret wrote: ↑Sun Aug 31, 2025 9:05 pmBest option for right wing is Tchaouma and Hannibal a sub when legs are tiring

This one is interesting. It's clear cut, not offside. The hands and arms of all players, including the goalkeepers, are not considered. For the purposes of determining offside, the upper boundary of the arm is in line with the bottom of the armpit. https://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/la...

Whilst the Benfica fans don't seem upset at all about Luis leaving, he could be a player that really fits our position right now. Seems to absolutely excel defensively, and I imagine we're going to be on the defense more than not this year. "Benfica fan here. Liability with the ball in his feet, goo...

Koleosho has always been more about the potential than the current ability. He's a long way off being a starter these days in our team. I have zero doubt he'll do well in Spain - Anthony looked Messi-esque during his loan over there last season. I think best we hope for is he does really well and ad...

All part of the circus, I don't see a problem. He signed a big contract to play for a club. He is, however, still of free will. So if he decides not to play and breaks the contract, will be fined accordingly. Anthony Gordon refused to return to training at Everton to force his move through, same wit...

He has an impressive injury record, so I wouldn't be expecting him to be available all the time.
If we can nurse him to full fitness and keep him that way he will be a wonderful signing.

Re: Summer transfer window
The term “for a good while now” certainly applies more to Broja than it does Calvert-Lewin. DCL scored 7 goals and provided 2 assists for Everton in the 2023-24 season but you have to go back to 2021-22 to find any worthwhile contributions from Broja. Exactly this. Also, If DCL has 1 great season n...

150k for Calvert Lewin? It's only the same as signing a proven Premier League quality striker, (but bad injury record) on a 2 year deal for 15 million quid and no wages. 150k a week with no upfront fee seems reasonable. We've just spent 20ish million, and wages on an unproven player with barely any ...

As much as we all love Roberts, I'd have thought the current England international, who started 11 times for City last season, and made 34 appearances between them and AC Milan would be favourite to start.

We could sign Hakimi and people would find fault. He's at the very least on a level with Roberts. More likely a step above. He strengthens the squad and adds bags of experience to a team that will be fighting relegation. The very little we saw of Sonne would suggest he's not a preferred option right...

In a game we should be expecting a comfortable win, and with the 3 games in such quick succession, I'd be happy if Bauress was on the bench. Given how tight the promotion race is proving, it probably won't happen, but I'm hoping this lad doesn't get forgotten about.
