Re: Summer transfer window
As much as we all love Roberts, I'd have thought the current England international, who started 11 times for City last season, and made 34 appearances between them and AC Milan would be favourite to start.

Quite comical that 13 cap Scotland player Phil Bardsley is being used to compare a 96 cap current England international.

Re: Summer transfer window
We could sign Hakimi and people would find fault. He's at the very least on a level with Roberts. More likely a step above. He strengthens the squad and adds bags of experience to a team that will be fighting relegation. The very little we saw of Sonne would suggest he's not a preferred option right...

I think most would happily give him their best wishes if he went for 50 million.
Great player for us, with a much higher ceiling. I personally look forward to seeing how he does at the top level - but would be delighted if he stayed.

In a game we should be expecting a comfortable win, and with the 3 games in such quick succession, I'd be happy if Bauress was on the bench. Given how tight the promotion race is proving, it probably won't happen, but I'm hoping this lad doesn't get forgotten about.

Re: Harvey Elliot
By the sounds of it, first priority in the summer is a new GK. We still haven't got a proper #9 or anyone who looks remotely comfortable there. Anthony is only a loan, we're horribly weak in cover with full backs, CJ hasn't signed a deal..... And that's before we look at brining in the like of Ellio...

Benching Foster also gives us a striking option from the bench late on if needed. I think it's just a smarter optionSteve-Harpers-perm wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 9:29 amChanges I’d like to see are Shelvey for Laurent and Edwards for Foster.

Interesting how people think Edwards will start. His last appearance was 30th November. He was an unused sub in the following 6 games, then hasn't even been on the team sheet for the last 5. I've no idea if he's carrying a knock or out of favour, but either way fitness will be an issue for sure. Ben...

Do you think that means shifting Anthony back to the left? Edwards has only played from the left about 3 times in 3 years, so I'd imagine he'll be expecting to start from the right when fit.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 4:29 pmThink it’s more likely that Edwards signing allows foster to play up top.

The fact Parker didn’t bring Barnes on till the 89th minute when it was 0-0 at the weekend is a good indicater that he didn’t want to sign Barnes and it was all an Alan Pace signing I mean, he didn't bring on the creative and attacking influences of Benson or Shelvey, or even Sonne for the dire (on...
