After 20 years or so I finally got myself my dream car (AC Cobra contination), but 2 weeks in managed to have a bit of an accident and now she needs a new shell. The garage who built her years ago still exist and have agreed to repair, but I need somewhere near Grantham to store it from when I deliv...

Re: Price of a pint of beer
To be fair presumably they aren’t making that in profit though are they. Very significantly less if at all after paying for overheads: staff, rent, taxes, energy, sky, etc etc? Oh yeah absolutely. Sadly a huge chunk will go in all those things which means they can't be re-invested in the industry.

Re: Price of a pint of beer

This obviously varies on type of beer, strength etc. as this might mean more duty is paid. Any bar charging you £6 is th...

I worked for LBA. Worst job I've had. Don't know about now but at the time they were losing a lot of money and Jet2 could do pretty much what they wanted as without them they were in massive trouble.

It's a real struggle for a lot of breweries and pubs at the moment. We're on course to break even for January but I know of much bigger places who are getting single figures of customers some days.

You'll need a pint after running up there.
I used to live on High Royds before the wife and kids came along and we needed somewhere bigger.

I have an Audi E-tron. Lovely to drive and gradually getting over my range anxiety, it'll do about 170 miles on a charge now its a bit warmer, was about 112 in winter with the heating on and charged to the recommended 80%. There's definitely better options for range but I'm really happy with mine (o...

I don't claim to know much about the youth leagues but it seems that to even be talking about the play-offs is a remarkable achievement for a first season at this level and following the reported mismanagement at youth level over the past few years. I'm not sure winning this league is that important...

Football could learn a lot from hockey... Rolling subs except at certain set pieces, a green card as a warning and a yellow for a sin bin, then red for example.

I set up my own microbrewery last year. My latest release (a 6.5% Brut IPA) costs me £2.58 per 440ml can to make. Some good beers in the posts above but these offers are basically forcing the little guys out of the market.
