It’s not necessarily the amount you spend but it’s what you get for the money. The big clubs also waste a lot of money on overrated players. That’s what we can’t afford to do.

Just been in a local hospital emergency unit. Only about 50% of the out patients were speaking English but this isn’t a tourist area. Again it’s the shear numbers using/ abusing the service.Some staff are amazing with one or two not so but they must have to deal with all sorts.

When the last season finished the most urgent areas of strengthening for me were central midfield and a striker. We haven’t got either yet. Strong options at left and right back were probably needed too but the season is fast approaching with some big gaps and an imbalanced large squad.

I have zero interest in the club World Cup or whatever it’s called and don’t watch many European games. Your traditional fan going to league matches probably isn’t who they are interested in though. They want not attending armchair fans that watch on TV in China or elsewhere.
