Love that jdrobbo. One year we were on immediately in front of Black Dyke in one of the villages and as we started the walk up, our drummer made a complete balls-up of the taps, so we all stumbled off in a totally disorganised shambling mess, sniggers of Dyke who were stood waiting behind us echoing...

Re: Saddleworth Brass Bands.
If you're good enough to play for one of the handful of top bands - your Black Dykes and Brighouses - who are most likely to win all the different contests, then you take the playing pretty seriously. For everyone else, it is in large part a day-long musical pub-crawl!

Played with bands in it a good number of times, though not this year. One of the absolute best days you will ever see, playing or watching. Everyone should go at least once in their lifetime.

Something that really struck me on his post match interview was how he mentioned 'emotion', saying to the effect that we lost our way when the game got 'emotional'. Now, that was not by any stretch of the imagination an 'emotional' game. Millwall got worked up for the first time when they thought th...

Sat in Longside Lower NL8, didn't seem to me that the amount of frustrated moans/groans was any worse than will have been heard at any football match ever played? Just as many "Come on Burnley's" as any widespread grumbling. And the only obvious bit of moaning was at the ref when he allowed Portsmou...

If Lyle Foster has somehow got a Premier League move lined up off the back of his time at Burnley so far that is really surprising to me. He’s got the raw attributes but come on, what’s he done? He’s had 5 or 6 brilliant performances, a load of rank bad ones and then a few middling ones - all inter...

To the U21 group but there's players classed as first team that are also in it, so they read his opinions also. Proper schoolboy error And sorry, to clarify one more thing - the academy director's message was one he was intending to send to an agent, which was then mistakenly sent to the U21 player...

They are brilliant at communicating when it’s good news but appalling when there are issues. That’s the whole club, not just ticketing. It's worse than just pretty poor. I'm a southern based fan, have always been, so have been buying tickets for matches like this for 30 odd years. I've NEVER experi...

This might be one for ChesterPerry, but does anyone have a sense of how much the deal is likely to be for? My initial reaction for all the, relatively unheard of in the UK, gambling sponsors we've had, and the Visit Detroit thing, is "Can they really be paying all that much? Is it really worth it?"

Actually think that Bellingham disrupted the shape too much, because he didn't play as a 10, but a roving CM - and thus Foden wasn't confident as to when or how he should come in from the left. The brave, but I think correct choice, is to play Bellingham next to Rice, Foden at 10, then your pick fro...

Whether or not he was clipped is kind of irrelevant to the main thing he's being criticised for. He thought he was fouled - fair enough, he might or might not have been, but the ref didn't give it. Benefit of the doubt, he then goes in for some histrionics with the aim of getting a VAR review. Again...

Underground - Metropolitan line - is running but on a reduced timetable, which it's been on for weeks.
