Re: Parker pre-match v Leeds
Looking at the size on his wrist and the flat bezel - I’m assuming it’s a 41mm oyster perpetual from a couple of years ago. Think it was a short run so the second hand prices are a bit ridiculous now

Re: Elbow in the face of Sarmiento
Think he would have seen red under VAR. Yeah. The ball went past him to the ref. Probably clocked the ref turning away and then clearly raised his elbow and jumped into Sarmiento. Pretty sure he managed to kick his boot off as well. Noticed he was “genuinely” down in real time but couldn’t see how....

Re: Elbow in the face of Sarmiento
And a kick in the ankle. By their captain. I think it was retribution (and a continuation of their general thuggish behaviour) as he was the player Sarmiento beat and curled his goal around. Ref was a general disgrace all game - ignoring their holding, kicks and trips that were directly in front of ...

And all midweek games, bank holiday, carabao, opening and final days of the season.
Most of which I assume will be on their “streaming” service. Which should have atleast 4 camera

Re: Sky and EFL package
Does this mean they'll be 'properly' shown, as opposed to 'red buttoned'? I saw a few red button games and it seemed like just a single camera - poor angles, local commentary, no replays - like watching it on the radio. Minimum of 4 camera’s for championship games, and increased advanced warning of...

Turns out, if you have an iPhone with a VPN function, you can repeatedly open the voting link (copy and paste) using the private browsing option.
How many million votes will Cornet need before they get suspicious?

Re: Chess puzzle
Nope White only plays two moves Good point. My 3 move reply was more in reference to “what if black moved another piece instead of the rooks” without reviewing the board. My only argument would be - what if black moves the pawn from B6 to B5. How would you get checkmate in 1 more move? Q to B6 woul...

Re: Chess puzzle
Doesn’t that turn it into checkmate in 3 moves, not 2?Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Mon Jun 21, 2021 8:31 pmBut that frees up e4 for the queen to mate as the knight you've just moved was defending that square
I was thinking along those lines initially

Q to H8
Black - as long as they don’t move the knights, king is stuck in place
Q to G7, whether the pawn has moved or not
Checkmate

Re: Wolves and Burnley set for FA fines
Tarks needs to learn to walk away from these incidents. There are enough cameras on games to ensure justice is done. I can remember him striking out at Glenn Murray of Brighton which was picked up after the game and he received a ban. Needs to follow Ben Mee's example In limited defence of Tarks (w...

Re: Return to Turf Moor Update
There won’t be any concourse staff. There will be no kiosks open I apologies and stand corrected. I assumed they would be as there was something in the news a few weeks ago about the government potential stopping that drinking in your seats law. I remember loads of small restaurants and pubs being ...

Re: Return to Turf Moor Update
Personally though I think asking fans to pay an additional up front cost during a pandemic and in and around Xmas time is just plain wrong I appreciate that. But what’s then to stop people attending 4 or 5 games - on the promise to “pay later” and then come summer refuse to pay after we have been r...

Re: Return to Turf Moor Update
Can’t seem to get my head around having to apparently pay when a current season ticket holder. I’ve read it a few times and it sounds like we have to pay for the tickets even though still paying for season tickets Presumably that will make next years renewal far less of a hassle though. If you thin...
