The club for some strange reason ran a special train there in the late 80's ? From memory it left after 1ish....we met in the Prince Albert at 11. Arrived in Rotherham 2.30 straight in pub right outside the station next to the ground ....missed the KO hey ho that was the 80's for you!

Went in the 1972/73 promotion season got there via Central Motors 'B' coach. Those days it was always pay on the day ....we decided to go in the seating stand behind the goals ...we were sat on long forms. Good decision to go in the stand it looked a bit dodgy on the terraces after Casper scored ear...

Born Burnley Bank Hall 1955. Moved to Heaton Moor (Stockport) 11 years ago ....ideal hub for trains (when no strike) for both home and away games.

It was good to see Mr Chairman at the launch yesterday. Hopefully, the take away for him was what this club means to so many. David Gill spoke passionately about his dad and his dad's love of the club and how this is being passed on through the generations ...like many families .

Just had another email from the club saying my Share is in the name of Burnley Athletic and not Holdings ...so another form to complete. They have had my certificate for months .....plus wrote to me in the week for my sort code. Act in order springs to mind.

Great article CT. When he came to Burnley he lodged on Morse St him and Len Kinsella used to have a kick about with me and my mates on the field where Brunshaw school is now.

Anybody had any acknowledge from the Club confirming receipt the sale application and share certificate now the closing date has passed? I sent mine recorded ( I live out of town) but it was never signed for but was assured when i went into the Club reception that they weren't signing for any mail.
