AC Milan and Leverkusan interested as well. How will the poor lad choose! I suppose, and I know this sounds wild, but we may be able to offer higher wages right now plus incentives for scoring etc. He can get a relegation clause in for roughly what we paid and if we stay up he gets a healthy bonus ...

No. Read the article on then Burnley website. Woods had. A release clause, it could be triggered at anytime. £25m total. As it’s a release clause it’s all paid upfront. Burnley did not want to sell, they were forced too. Chris wood becomes the most expensive 30 yr old transfer in the Prem and the 6t...

I'm 100% sure the release clause wasn't written by us, it would have been a negotiation between Garlick and Woods agent until they agreed a fee. Without the clause Wood probably wouldn't have extended his contract. The players and agents seem to have all the power these days unfortunately Yes! 100%...

Of course this is hypothetical but I’m wondering what the rules are: Could a team, backed say by the finance of an oil rich country, buy up most of the players from a team thereby rendering them unable to compete? This is a white flag to our PL status that money won’t be reinvested it’s reducing the debt to a sinking ship. A release clause is written by the club the player owns. It’s all agreed when their initial contract is signed. That was in 2019 I believe. Are we waving a white flag from 2019? If the rel...

£11.5m plus add ons is a steal for Paterson. He’s been very good for rangers inEurope and Scotland. Can play Right back, wing back or right mid. This is the type of player we should be after. If you could only bring in one player, at a realistic fee in the January transfer window, who would it be? Personally- I’d go for Jesse Lingard on a permanent up to £16m.
