Re: Summer transfer window

It’s a shame Zeki got injured as I imagine we would have pocketed £12-15m for him. Hopefully somebody takes the obvious (Tresor, Benson, Obafemi, Delcroix, Churlinov) off us even if just on loan. Very happy to see Broja confirmed - let’s hope the lad has a healthy, injury free season. I think that i...

Really good signing in my opinion and a one year deal keeps him keen as I am sure we will retain him if he performs. Age doesn't bother me with keepers particularly - look how well the likes of Brad Friedel, Edwin Van Der Sar and many others performed past 35.

On paper, some really good energy in the middle with Les, Hannibal and Cullen. I'd definitely like to see another head come in though, maybe that's greedy but I think it's such an important position and we need to prepare for any eventualities like injury and suspension. Eriksen would be ideal but i...

I have felt we need another centre mid even with Ugochukwu coming in - I’d not turn down Eriksen on a free transfer. I have no issue with a player being honest, and frankly lets hope he is right! If we end up flogging him for £30m+ in a year then it's clearly been a success for all parties. 46 games in League Two will be just what he needs, regardless of standard. If he proves to be as above that level as I think we all think he is then he will probably get shuffled up a league or two in January. It's win/win. He's still only 19, plenty of time to make it at Burnley yet.

Just got back - to be blunt, garbage. At least it was lovely weather and a word for Kyle Walker who I’m still having to pinch myself to believe he’s playing for us. He looked outstanding. We move on - we all know what the gaps are and we learned nothing surprising today.

Always look forward to a new season. It’s going to be tough but our defence, on paper, looks great. Just need to see a strong, experienced number one and a big, physical midfielder to come in.

Brentford and Bournemouth have been dismantled, such is the price of success at this level. There is no telling how they will cope with the change. Pretty certain Wissa will still leave Brentford yet, too. Whilst they have the money to recruit it’s no guarantee. We need them both to start poorly.

Why would the tunnel moving from a corner between two sets of Burnley fans, to between a corner with two sets of Burnley fans make any difference to perceived safety? Is it because a manager can walk down the touchline as opposed to across the pitch I guess?
