Re: Access for home fans
It has been clearly indicated that the intention is to develop the corner of BL and CF stands with a two storey building presumably with bars etc in. That could not be done with away fans turnstiles in that location. As for access, it is now much easier to get up HP way without the away coaches par...

Re: Access for home fans
I honestly don't get it. The club changed people's seating arrangements without notice, which will likely prove to have exactly the opposite affect of those cited by the club. In addition, it does cause problems for people who are older, disabled or have other issues, which mean they are vulnerable ...

I think what naffs people off is the whining before they've even experienced something. As shows with this thread, there were absolutely no problems at the game. It was a back 5. JBL's average position was actually further back than Sonne's vs Spurs. Notice the same CB positions for Esteve, Ekdal and Walker. I think it was a 4, and looked much better for it but JBL did fill in to create a 5 at times but I think overall it looked much more solid than last week albeit the opposition wasn't the same quality.

Re: Burnley v Sunderland - Player Ratings
SP obviously listened to the wise advice on here and went for a back 4 - kind of - because JBL seemed to fill in to make it a back five at times, which possibly affected his game a bit . Ekdal played really well. It would have been interesting to see how this team would have fared against Spurs. Gre...

Re: Team News vs The Mackems
In the spirit of getting our best available players on the pitch I'd expect a back four this weekend. The highlights don't suggest Sonne did too much wrong (and two of the goals came down our left, and none down the right) but I'm not sure he's close to our best XI players and for that reason alone...

Re: Team News vs The Mackems
I'd stick to four the centre back 3 was all over the place against Spurs albeit I think two of them came out quite well in the player ratings, which makes you wonder whether Burnley fans need a 'pitch this way' notice when attending away games. Don't really know the new players and who is properly f...

He just needs to put a transfer request in to the club. Of course, that means he's effectively ending his contract and not eligible for any bonuses tied to length of service. So he won't. Instead he's trying to manipulate the club publicly into letting him go without any financial penalty to himsel...

Re: What do you reckon to the Isak situation ?
I think it affects the economy of football when players behave like that and while it's ok at Newcastle - it can also affect clubs like us. We are clearly honouring the contracts of a number of players who likely as not we would like to sell, which stops us from making more signings to secure a posi...

It really doesn’t make a difference if Tarkowski’s hands were by his side in a ‘natural position’ as he made a conscious effort to move his arms, along with the rest of his body towards the ball. Tarkowski’s failed attempt at blocking the ball with his chest prevented Leeds a shot on target. I don’...

Which is why it's really not that crazy to suggest Saturday's game is a must win. At this point most will be looking at how the season is set fair to pan out. The Spurs game was disappointing not because we got beat but because we gave away 3 poor goals. Like a very bad stomache bug the problem was at both ends with 3 very poor goals to concede and not taking some clear chances.
