Re: Have you joined Burnley FC ISA yet?

Just reading the October newsletter. The VAR meeting caught my eye. 200 frames per second and 3 frames often viewed. Usain Bolt could run 6.2 cm in 1/200 of a second, so if VAR is looking at 3 frames that is a margin of error that is visual. Amazing given those technology limitations that it is not ...

Re: Forest

Agree with the OP. We had only 3 primarily attack minded players throughout that game, Forest had 4. Then we took one off on 81 to finish the game with only 2 (Anthony and Foster, who was replaced by Flemming on 88). Forest had the highest possession since they returned to the PL in 2022. So to me i...

I really like that chart, never seen it before and it is certainly dramatic (though representing something we all know). I do think it shouldn’t end in 2010 if used nowadays, even though it won’t change the substance of it.

Amazing today. The US came back more than I thought, but we had some gutsy street-fighters to see it out. So pleased we got that final half point to take the injury out of the conversation. Sky noticeably are not showing many adverts. A few, but brief. Just got to stomach the annoying Andrex poo advert 10 times, plus the Gillette and Rolex ones. As soon as proper 401 UHD starts at 7pm instead of the red button I’ll watch delayed and fast forward ads.

Yesterday was probably my favourite day of golf TV viewing in decades, with rivals being Rory’s Masters win and Seve’s wins. Harsh scoreline but we brought on 2 late defensive subs then shipped 2 more goals.

That should be a lesson for us. It needed more attackers at the end to gamble at 1-3.

This is now the situation where we need Tresor on the bench for that explosive unpredictability when risks are needed.

I can see the rest grabbing 1 goal, not more. Edwards to a lesser degree than Tresor, proper pedigree so he should get a run at them too, even if he isn’t the best defensively.

If Jones had done his job correctly with Haaland’s handball it would be 1-0 now (assuming we had bothered to attack at 0-0), Walker wouldn’t be on a booking and a City player would be on a yellow for waving that imaginary card. Couple of other mistakes I’ve spotted too.

Very little Yankee chanting, we have really silenced the crowd. Of course they always come back in the afternoon in fourballs.

Disagree with this preferred lie rule but it benefits Europe as we find the fairways more often - otherwise why would the US team cut down the rough?
