Re: ARTICLE: Clarets clinch Tchaouna deal

I was at the San Siro for the AC vs Lazio game in early March (which Lazio won 2-1). Tchaouna started; from my slightly hazy memory (took advantage of in-seat beers), he didn’t play as an out and out striker, but looked neat and tidy on the ball. Not a game of huge quality so probably unfair to judg...

Re: ARTICLE: Barnes back for more

Absolutely delighted with this. His value to the club is more than just on the pitch, I’ve no doubt we’ll look a far more cohesive squad than we did in our last season under Kompany; he’ll be a huge part of that!

Re: Spud Bros - PNE new sponsor

Absolutely no different to when we had Hollands pies as a sponsor. Would much rather have a local sponsor with meaningful connection than a faceless and questionable gambling firm, but each to their own!

Re: Hans Noah Massengo

Of course nobody knows whether he’ll be a fan favourite, he needs to play for that to be confirmed or otherwise, but I completely agree that all the signs are there. He’s a young lad that seems to want to be here and do well, and is making all the effort to understand the history and culture of the ...

Re: Simple vote for Kompany to stay or go…no debate

I’m not sure the logic of giving him a few games in to next season works; by this point he’s shaped a summer of recruitment and decided tactically what we wants us to be again next season. It’d be a big risk to get rid at this point and expect someone else to come in and turn it around. I don’t know...

Re: Loseton versus Mighty Clarets

Hmm, there’s a term I thought had been consigned to the 80’s Completely agree, I would hope this was ignorance of the term rather than intentional. Back to the football…..surprised there’s so much negative feeling tonight, Luton will make life tough for a lot of teams at home, we found a way to win...

Re: Today’s Blast from our recent Clarets Past (v) - Mitchell Thomas

Loved the defence in that era of Thomas, Davis and Cox. You could tell Thomas had played a higher level. Saying that, the first game that comes to mind for some reason is the 4-3 home game vs. Millwall. Out of sight and cruising to begging for the final whistle! Didn’t appreciate how old (in footbal...

Re: Just how rough is Naples?

Amazing; thanks for taking the time to post these - much appreciated! Been to Italy a few times, but never to Naples so really looking forward to it, always had the impression it’s not just for tourists (which is does feel a bit like in places like Venice), and granted it sounds like areas you’d wan...

Re: Just how rough is Naples?

RVclaret, heading to Naples in October on honeymoon; we’ve got 4 nights in Rome first and then have two in Naples. We’re planning to head to Pompeii on the first day, but any recommendations of places to see in the city on the second day/good places to eat? Second day will be fairly relaxed, we usua...
