Re: First manager in Premier league to go

Genuine question: how long does Parker get if we go on a significant winless run? Based on last time around in the PL and the owners learning from previous mistakes which has been mentioned a few times. (This is not me suggesting we sack Parker before anyone replies with that - just after some thoug...

Re: Burnley v Wolves - U21 Game

Our lads were struggling as a team to keep the ball when playing out from the back. Probably a mixture of a lack of being drilled to where they should be and a lack of fitness. They couldn’t keep the ball after they equalised and the result was they couldn’t get out of their own third retaining poss...

Re: Do we go with a back four against Sunderland?

Yes. I'd also be tempted with Foster and Broja up top. We need to score goals and occupy defenders. Yes, agreed…. Said this to my dad earlier. When Dyche played 442 he said he liked to play two up front because it’s unusual for defenders to have to play up against two forwards and it changed the fe...

Re: Do we go with a back four against Sunderland?

For large parts today the team didn’t look well enough drilled in this shape and some layers looked a little lost and confused as to where they needed to be. Too many weren’t involved enough and completely ineffective. Hopefully a back four next week.

Says everything when we have Cullen and Pires taking our set pieces. We’ve not had anyone to deliver a ball since JBG left us. Only person who has come close to having a good dead ball delivery in his fleeting appearances is actually Tresor.

So because Ekdal played a poor pass to Hannibal (who wasn't in a position to receive the ball, while better options were available to Ekdal) its Hannibals fault. Come on now... As for Hannibal not trying to get his team mate out of the ****, it was Hannibal that tackled back and left a Lazio player...

How can you say Hannibal culpable, it was an uncharacteristically shocking pass by Ekdal sold Hannibal short, then Ekdal showed his lack of reaction and speed to get back and blatantly pushed the lazio player. I think that passage of play highlights where Ekdal may struggle this season. He's usuall...

First half ok. We are very pedestrian, though. Lazio much better at retaining the ball than we are. We can sometimes make it look like it’s quite hard work to keep the ball.

No goals but enjoyed that half. Thought we looked well coached. Foster showing his talent, Hartman impressive. Swap Ugochukwu for Laurent, and Dubravka for Hladky, and that’s the 11 for Spurs, I’d say.
I wouldn’t have Sonne near the starting XI next week.

I’d imagine they’d be an option/desire to extend beyond a year if both sides are keen at some point. I wouldn’t be too confident of Dubravka’s desire to extend. Not sure about that. I’d say we are much stronger defensively now which is the basic foundation on which any form of successful season (for us) would be built on. I still think we could do with more creativity/pace. Edwards and Anthony are quick but not lightening fast. A Tella or Doak from Liverpool type signing would fill this void.
