Not sure about that….

Despite scoring from a corner yesterday, I think our set piece play is still dreadful. There seems to be no plan or set move. It’s like Sunday morning stuff - just throw it in the box and hope for the best.

Played two up front for quite a large part of last season and it worked okay. Parker likes the 4-4-2/4-2-4 against weaker opponents. Agreed. There seems to be a numbers of posters obsessed that we need to play a ‘10’. There are other teams that play 3 in midfield without a ‘10’.

Why can’t all 3 of them play together? Look at Newcastle, for example. Their midfield 3 are considered ‘number 8’ but they all play in the same team.

Will be interesting to see how he does. Hopefully he gets a lot f game time and someone can coach some sort of improvement.

No doubt he will get better each passing week with some on here during his time away when we’ll undoubtedly be struggling but personally I don’t think we’ll miss him at all.

For large parts today the team didn’t look well enough drilled in this shape and some layers looked a little lost and confused as to where they needed to be. Too many weren’t involved enough and completely ineffective. Hopefully a back four next week.

First half ok. We are very pedestrian, though. Lazio much better at retaining the ball than we are. We can sometimes make it look like it’s quite hard work to keep the ball.
