Rovers are protesting the result. They say the pitch became unplayable when they were leading 1-0. So they want the game replayed, but with that game starting with Rovers leading 1 -0.

Could be a bad move tactically by Blackburn to mention their game plan so early. If they win the toss they are going to attack the shallow end in the first half.

It's a shame Bobby Seith was never capped for Scotland. If he had been Burnley would have the oldest surviving England and Scotland internationals. Bobby still knocking around at 93.

Colin McDonald is the oldest surviving England International Footballer. The second oldest is not Brian Douglas but former West Ham player Ken Brown, who is 3 months older than Brian.

Clive had 114 first class wickets at 36 each. Haslingden were lucky to have him and then Dennis Lillee as professionals in the space of a few seasons. Another odi on today, but it is England v West Indies ladies. England batting first 29-0 off 7.

Burnley have been singing it from at least the 1950s, if not before. Blackburn Rovers fans maybe started singing it in the 1980s or thereabouts.

There was a thread on this tโother week. Never heard over the tannoy to my knowledge. As I remember it first heard in the 72-73 season as Wild Rover. Later that season it evolved into Blackburn Rovers. I canโt put a date to itโs current version. We canโt use it now as our neighbours come out to it....
