We got a ridiculous amount for Wood. I think it was around £27 million. Okay he came good at Nottingham Forest but Newcastle sold him at a tremendous loss.

It wasn’t the fee we recieved for Wood that was the problem it was more the fact of how much it weakened us as a relegation rival.
