Re: Pace/ALK set to buy Espanyol?
I had some concerns when ALK took over but it seems to be working out alright. I’m sure there will be risks as well as potential benefits to this but the business element is beyond my understanding so I’m just interested to see what happens and if it goes ahead how Espanyol perform. The world moves ...

Re: Why do you want promotion?
Because the league is a competition and the aim should be to do your best, in this case get promoted. Whether that happens and, if it does how next season goes, remains to be seen but the interest is in trying and finding out. The lack of this approach to cup competitions is why they are now pointle...

Re: REPORT: A stalemate to end all stalemates
Watched on TV but having been to other 0-0s this season I thought it was just more of the same. If rating the players I would say Defence 9 Midfield 7 and Attack 5. Unfortunately, and notwithstanding the Plymouth game, I can't see that changing much but hopefully the next run of games will prove me ...

All been said above. Another unsurprisingly poor performance all round and particularly in "attack".
Can't see Flemming, Foster or Hountondji making any difference in the medium term. Could see this squad sliding into mid table.

Travelling, costs, weather, Sky TV etc are all relevant but for me the lack of quality in attack has taken most of the excitement out of the game. I recall that the first I heard about his signing was a short newspaper article!
Still remember him and Fletcher in front of the Longside after the Sunderland win in 1973.
Imagine one of today’s signing being pushed around the ground in a wheelbarrow

A more enjoyable game than last week won by the better team with a good goal.
Starting to slip down the league now due to lack of goals and nothing to suggest that this will change.
Difficult to support or care about this Burnley team.

That was the second game I have attended this season, just a repeat of the 0-0 at Oxford.
The words I noted in CT’s report are “tedious” and “bored” I know they are second in the league and football has changed etc but it’s just not an enjoyable experience watching the current team.

Got to be happy with the way it’s gone so far but after a prolific start I do wonder where the goals are going to come from. Would we have scored last night without the penalty? Foster often doesn’t seem to be in the right place or stand up to pressure from defenders.

My first game of the season yesterday.
Slow tempo, still playing around at the back.
No real threat.
Missed two good chances.
A point away and fourth in the league but it was the definition of a bore draw.

Not interested in the FAB.
Only 2 things matter to me
1) Is the club financially stable for the future - I don't know and there is nothing I can do about it.
2) How are the team performing on the pitch - fine so far this season and it can only be better if supporters get behind the players.

My summary:
1) Delighted the squad size is being reduced.
2) Decent money coming in or being saved.
3) SP building his own squad from which it's up to him to create a team.
How that team performs remains to be seen but I'm looking forward to finding out. UTC!

Some of our own prospects coming through to the first team would be good but I'm not sure how likely that is.
The other point about the Championship is that some supporters enjoy it more than the PL so a 1-0 loss at Sunderland is not necessarily a big deal.

Don't want to go over lots of old ground but this is what happens if the policy is buy to sell rather than buy to strengthen. Obviously disappointing but no surprise. Players always come and go but this policy to rapidly turnover of the squad makes it more difficult for me to get behind the team. As others have said just no longer as connected to the club. Hopefully a few will stay to become the core players. UTC.
