The other day he was asked if he could name all the British open winners going back as far as he could and he got back the the 70’s !! You’d think a proper spinner would be needed at Old Trafford. Ahmed looks to be well in with the leaders rather than Dawson. Crawley and Pope are a problem, even the people who are desperate to appear positive know that. I think they’ve hung their hat on Crawley for Australia. Pope I’m not as sure....

How can a sub be a specialist wicket keeper ? can’t bowl or bat but they can wicket keep ? Then the wicket keeper (pant) doesn’t field but then is totally fresh and ready to bat
