A quote from Westwood shortly after successfully qualifying for this years Open. “The first time I played in The Open was in 1995 when I qualified at Leven and I thought it would be great to come back here and try to qualify for another one at Royal Portrush,” the 52-year-old said It is a fantastic...

I don’t recall Lee Westwood ever disrespecting the open ? If anything - he’s one of its biggest fans Or are you meaning joining LIV ? Nope he disrespected the open years ago when he had a poor finish , said it didn’t matter as it was just an average tournament, arsehole , never liked him since .

You’d think a proper spinner would be needed at Old Trafford. Ahmed looks to be well in with the leaders rather than Dawson. Crawley and Pope are a problem, even the people who are desperate to appear positive know that. I think they’ve hung their hat on Crawley for Australia. Pope I’m not as sure....

How can a sub be a specialist wicket keeper ? can’t bowl or bat but they can wicket keep ? Then the wicket keeper (pant) doesn’t field but then is totally fresh and ready to bat

Big rethink needed, barely laid a glove on them in this test. No idea what the selectors see in Bashir, I'd prefer to play another batsman that can bowl some off/leg break part-time along with rooty if we can't find a legit spinner. Smith has to swap with Stokes in the batting lineup. There's an ar...
