Re: Burnley lad playing in the Champions League tonight

What an odd thing to say. My lad was born in Manchester, but supports Burnley as they are my team. Funnily enough no one has ever dismissed him because he doesn't support United or City. I bet Sykes's dad doesn't support Newcastle though. Anyway he's had a bit of a mare against his 'boyhood club.' ...

Last seasons final was played last season against Bolton which we lost at the end of April.
We did play the previous seasons final up at Barrow in November (and lost that on penalties)
This is definitely the first round of this seasons competition

I think those mentioning Bond releasing Lee Dixon are very much using hindsight. I can only remembering appearing in the first team once at Turf and he went to Bury and Huddersfield (if memory serves) before he really shone as a prospect. Dixon didn't play for Huddersfield. Went to Chester before B...

I think...
Brierly is an under 18 midfielder, he's very small
Pouani is an under 18 midfielder
Campbell is a defender (from what I've seen he's a prospect)
Pimlott is a left back or left wing-back
Clarke is a midfielder, recently signed.
Pimlott the best prospect of the lot IMO.
