Our highest ever attendance, question…
54,775 against Huddersfield in 1924. The population of Burnley in 1924 according to the census was approx 103,157. So more than 50% of the population of the town was at the game ? I wonder if thats a record, surely has to be ?? Dont know how we could find out but i find it hard to believe that any o...

Seen it this morning, Tesco wagon gone into the bridge under Centenary Way (next to bowling). Waiting for structural engineers to see if there is any damage to the bridge before it can re-open. It’s not about getting away, it the distance people with any mobility issues now have consider. Somebody that sits in block 1-3 of the Longside and parks in the CC will now have to add 10-20 minutes onto what should be a 5-10 minute walk Travelators from near the Park View to the End of the Longside.

Burnley football police can control it though, and if they have liased with the club over the plans, they can make it away only for safety ? Spot on wilks. I use the bus now and go to the bus station having left the ground from the Longside upper. If they close that route for home fans it will be a long walk round. Just seen that Ben Hoskin has signed for Nelson. Seems a bit of a strange one, thought he was still a regular for Padiham? Got injured towards the end of last season and never returned to the match day squad afterwards. Been a cracking player for Padiham, and scored alot of goals for a center half.

Could be us going for the title and them needing to win for the plays offs.
Could be interesting with a sold out away end, certain there would need to more than a few stewards separating the fans in the CFS anyway.
