Agree with the OP, but what is more worrying, given that so many of our games are live on TV, how many will renew S/T next season , especially those that travel some distance, regardless of which division we are in.

Was at the old BGS which was far too small.....used to have some lessons at Ebenezer up Colne Road. Remember Sam Hanna teaching woodwork and avoiding Parry on the school bus at Queensgate. When Stokes was appointed headmaster, early 60's I think , he decreed that Grammar schools didn't play football...

MikeS....your mention of Sam Hanna brings back memories of being taught woodwork at BGS. If I remember he was making a film of street games at the time. Very interesting character.

Had both hips done. Secret is the exercises....did loads of hip abductor machines before and afterwards and just generally kept on the move doing more and more gradually building back to normal. Now golf 2/3 times a week ,10pin bowling league Mondays, am 76. As for sleeping,I have never been able to...
