Re: Pitch Invader
I always thought the lone non-violent pitch invaders were funny. The chase even funnier. Great fun! There'll always be bellends - they're funny to watch too. You'll never cancel bellendery.

Re: ARTICLE: Vincent Kompany departs for Bayern Munich
We need to be adult about this.
Last season was a disgrace. Here's hoping VK has another.
Whenever Bayern lose, I'll laugh and I'll laugh so loud I hope he hears it.

He told me he thought he did pretty well at Burnley and hoped the fans would only appreciate his efforts.

Re: Barnsey
If I were to list Burnley's 'bang average' players over the last decade or so, Ash Barnes would be nowhere near that list. A true legend, Ash. Magnificent servant.

Friargate, Preston pedestrianisation.
Does anybody know whether this has finally been finished? The completion date has been shifted and shifted, musta been horrendous for the businesses along that stretch. Anyway, some good places along there for an afternoon drink and a quick bite to eat [you cannot beat Coco's👍]. Has it been reopened...

Re: My Prostrate Diagnosis
PSA normal but diagnosed enlarged prostate last year. Was told operating could cause incontinence and / or impotence and was given the option to put up with the symptoms, which I do. Thoughts?

Re: Joey’s in bother again
For his contribution to Burnley FC, he'll always be a god in my eyes. Don't think I've seen many make such an immediate impact on our team.
He's been a bit of a bell end? Meh. So what? Who hasn't? Many times over. If you haven't....well done. But have you done what Joey did for Burnley?

Re: Coffee beans
Agree that instant / soluble coffee is gash. To each his own, though. However, if you're gonna bez caramel syrup in your freshly roasted / ground / brewed coffee, might as well stick with soluble. For what it's worth, I would highly recommend a Bialetti Moka Pot or an Aeropress - neither is espresso...

Re: Have you ever done a DNA heritage test?
I get that his isn't everybody's cup of tea, sure, but it isn't just about our origins and ancestral locations. As I said previously, I spent almost 60 years with a birth certificate that was a bit different in that it had no details of father and only the maiden name of my mother [who likely change...

Re: Have you ever done a DNA heritage test?
First step I was advised to do was register with your local library. That membership number grants free access to the Ancestry website [or it did a couple of years ago. I was adopted at birth, only had mother's name and I'm Jewish through matrilineal descent. No trace of mum whatsoever even via Cens...

Re: Burnley Gnomes
I have 4. I've noticed this year's are noticeably smaller than previously [263mm against 300mm]. However, this year's smaller gnome is carrying a flag which brings the piece up to 293mm. It's not a problem, it's not a moan. If I were to moan [a bit], I would offer up that the paint they use isn't as...

Re-registered just to thank Lord Beamish for his input on this thread. Tremendous. I 'get it'. A lot 'get it'. Hilarious when some simply don't.
