I'm very good friends with one ex pro who was playing in another league, he told me the club he went to play for in the Lancashire League were paying him double what he was getting as a pro..I've absolutely no reason to doubt him at all. The bigger clubs didn't want to play the likes of Accy and Bacup anymore, that's why they got the format changed. Think it was as much to provide more competitive cricket for those clubs that were struggling at the time too. Pretty deflating for players to be regularly getting a hiding from far bet...

An additional fanzone (possibly for away fans) is a waste of resource in my opinion and would suggest there’s no short or even mid term plan to do anything serious with the actual stand facilities.

In yet another rain-affected day at the Brooks Foundation Ground, Lowerhouse faced Burnley in the Worsley Cup Semi Final with a place in the 99th Final up for grabs. I love Connor and hope he gets a decent shot in the Premier League.

As much as I like Roberts and what he’s done for us, we’d be naive to think he’s PL standard and Sonne needs time. A season long loan to a Championship club would be good for him.
