On that photo was Billy Kerr, Tex and Gaz Grogan, Dave Atkinson , Mick Howarth, Dek Hanley.
I didn't go back on the bus back to Burnley that day,
I spent the night in Oldham's finest clink !

Am currently in Nerja and I've found a pub showing the game on Saturday ( owned by a Sheffield United fan).
The pub is called El Bosque and it's on Calle castilla Perez, ( 5 minutes walk from Balcony europa)..
Hope there's a few of us to cheer the Clarets.

I can also recommend a half day trip from Seahouses on Billy Sheil's boat trips. The trip around Farne islands/Lindisfarne to see all the various sea birds. There's a two stop at Holy Island to explore and have a pint and something to eat. On the way back you have fantastic views of Bamburgh castle ...

Absolutely love the beach at low Newton, miles of peaceful dog walking, we always have a picnic there.

Love it up there, we stay at Beadnell when we go.
If you go to Amble you must go down to the harbour and have a belting meal at the Fish shack.

1970, I was 14, the Ribble club opposite the cop shop in Burnley.
A lot of drinkers went there at 3pm when the other pubs shut.
Had it's fair share of characters, definitely not for the easily offended.

AYUP Capt John, no nowt to do with an LNG tanker !
Alhambra 1925 is one of my favourite tonsil varnishes that I discovered in Spain but I can get supplies from Tesco's in Burnley.
It's got a bit of a kick in it at 6.4 %.
