Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Can he take a throw in?
He looks fast and it seems like he can put a decent ball into the box. Hopefully he can adapt to the Championship. He looks like a decent signing for the money.

Birmingham complete that set of results by getting their win through a injury time Norwich own goal scored by Ashley Barnes!

Re: Arijanet Muric
This is our 100 million pound player! 😁 He was outstanding in all aspects of his game today! I think he will end up playing for a top European team at some point during his career. He plays with a real swagger and it seems like that confidence rubs off on the whole team. Fantastic distribution and h...

Jordan Beyer
Jordan Beyer can't be too far away from being match fit. Would you have him back in the team if he is? Esteve has been impressive so far and O'Shea has really improved over the last few months. As good as Beyer is, I'm not sure I would drop either of those two. I was wondering how he would do at rig...

Team vs Liverpool
Don't think I've seen this thread yet. This is the team I would go with. I think all 3 new signings did enough last week to start. Trafford (I would pick Muric) Assignon O'Shea Esteve Taylor JBG Berge Massengo Fofana Odobert Foster

Re: Football games growing up
Cuppies, double cuppies and headers and vollies all bring back memories of playing football as a kid with my mates on the field behind my house. We'd also have big 10 a side games in the summer holidays that would go on till it got dark. When there were only two of us we'd play a game where one was ...

Re: Luton Game
Yeah, I'm surprised how many people are ready to write the season off. Luton is a massive game against a team that are performing better than anyone expected. It's going to be a tough game but if we beat them we could be 2 points off Everton, 5 points off Brentford and 6 points off Forest. There are...

I'm waiting for someone to post heat maps and xTI's and tell me that we aren't actually too bad at throw ins!

Re: Throw ins....
Ha ha! I know! Whenever we get a throw in, I feel like we are either going to give away possession or someone is getting booked! It seems like we are defending set pieces better now so hopefully we can start practicing throw ins soon!

Throw ins....
Does anyone remember a side as bad at throw ins as we currently are? We never seem to have any options when we have the ball. I think Berge's second yellow came from our throw in...Taylor had nothing on so threw it infield to Berge who was immediately under pressure. Hopefully we can improve on this...

Re: Bruun Larsen
Fantastic player! You can tell that he's played at a high level. His movement and touch are really good and he definitely brings a lot to the team in terms of quality. Hopefully he will stay injury free and we can see him get a run of games. His goal today was quality.. he was helped by some terribl...

Re: Sander Berge
Berge was quality today and has been for the last few games. I'm hoping that at some point this season he will get a run of games with Massengo next to him. Brownhill works hard and has a lot of energy but I think Massengo looks like a great prospect and him and Berge in the middle of the park could...

Re: Positives from today…
I'm proud of the team today. It's not the result that we wanted but I think a lot of teams are going to be beaten at St James Park this season. It would have been easy for the team to fall apart after that first goal but they didn't and put in a shift against a very good Newcastle side who recently ...

Walking round Turf Moor, when I was just a lad, I saw a Blackburn fan looking very very sad, He was an ugly b*stard, he didn't look very good, He said he'd just come over from that sh*thole Ewood, David Dunn was crying and it wasn't very fun, To see Burnley win the league there thanks to Manuel Bens...

That made me laugh, nice one. Thanks mate. That chant was a little bit tongue in cheek for the people that are losing their heads 3 games into the season. I love Kompany and I'm sure him and the team are going to be working hard to fix the mistakes from the first 3 games. Hopefully everyone will be...

Re: ** New Chants thread **
For when we start the Forest game without a recognized left back:
We love Vinnie Kompany,
He'll never get the sack!
We are Burnley FC,
We play with no left back!
We came up from the Championship,
We might be heading back,
But we have 15 wingers,
So attack, attack, attack!

It seems like we need something to brighten the mood after our first 3 league games and what better than a new club anthem? I'm calling this "The Ballad of Burnley". Re: ARTICLE: Massengo signs in for the Clarets
I'm really excited about this signing!
He looks like a ball winning midfielder with a good range of passing and very comfortable in possession.
The Premier League is obviously a big step up but it seems like he has the potential to be a really good player.
Welcome to Burnley!

Ha ha! I'm hoping that I get to sing it at least a couple of times this season.
How about this one? :
We won the league at Ewood,
It made the B*st*rds cry!
We follow Vincent Kompany,
We're Clarets till we die!

How about this the next time Josh Brownnhill scores? To the tune of the Proclaimers - I'm gonna be(500 miles):
I would walk 500 miles and I would walk 500 more,
Just to be that man who walks a 1000 miles to see Josh Brownnhill score!

How about this for Zeki Amdouni to the tune of "I'm too sexy" by Right Said Fred?
He's too Zeki for his shirt, too Zeki for his shirt, too Zeki it hurts!
He's too Zeki for Milan, too Zeki for Milan, New York and Japan!
