Re: Take me home, pothole roads.

I was driving from Manchester back to Burnley on Monday. Hit a pot hole on the A56 just before Haslingden.

Tyre bust instantly and god knows how I managed to keep the car on the road. That stretch of road is almost undrivable.

£90 for a new tyre down the drain !!!

Top Soil

I am looking to buy a tonne bag of top soil locally and have it delivered. Has anyone bought any recently? Where can I get the best quality at the best price please?

Cue .... a million gardening questions to follow once I get the soil down.

Parking Co-Op Arena

I'm going to a show in Manchester at the new CO-OP Arena in a month or so. I plan on going over during the day, parking somewhere near the Arena then getting the tram into the city for food / drinks then tram back up to the Arena for the show and drive home from there. The question is .... does anyo...

Drought

I have just been looking at the weather for the next 7 days and there is no rain expected over this period.

When was the last time it actually rained in Burnley? I can not remember it raining at all in the last month!?

Re: Hamer man for man

I saw Hamer and spoke to him today at Crowwood. He was in the pool down there with a number of the Sheffield team. He was pleasant, polite and likeable. He was chatting with a number of different people in the changing rooms and wished Burnley good luck. Although he doesn't look overly athletic on t...

Re: Sitting next to an awful supporter

The gentleman who was sat on the other side of me said that he could no longer bring his grand daughter on with him anymore because of how horrendous this supporter was.

Remembering that this behaviour was after a 5 nil win, God only knows what he would be like with a tighter game.

Sitting next to an awful supporter

Today I had the absolute misfortune of sitting next to the most despicable " Burnley fan " that I have ever witnessed in 25 years of watching Burnley. I quite simply wouldn't be given a free season ticket if it had to be sat near to this loud, foul mouthed lout. I have never met anyone who swore so ...

I'm not sure anyone would expect that. Trippier was their player of the season.

I'm fairly sure he is also Newcastle club captain too.

Just a quick post to let people know the top road from Harle Syke into Worsthorne is still closed due to snow. The snow plough / gritter has been unable to get through.

Worryingly more snow is forecast for this afternoon.
