CJ excelled in ST's defensive system where he had more time than he will get elsewhere. We will probably never know if he would have improved to EPL defence standards at both ends from defending set pieces and scoring at the other end. Genuinely prefer Michael Keane.

No! There was an away game at Hull City under Clive Middlemass that made me squirm. Then another at Notts County where we lost 1-0. In the warm up Adie Heath stood on one spot for 10 minutes with his arms on his hips like a double handled teapot.

Just read an article in the Guardian which says that Muslim community leaders in Burnley have endorsed Gordon Birtwistle. The article says 11,000 votes potentially involved.

I am not sure how anyone can assess Lampard against other candidates. He did well at Derby, very well in his first season at Chelsea. At Everton it needed the bouncers in. If Frank joins the project I would welcome him and I suspect so would most of the players.

I was brought up on my mum's cheese and onion pie and not surprisingly nothing can match it. I must have seen one of them when I guess we were both at Uni in the early 70s. Peter Noble was unplayable and his heading incredible.
