Re: How we stand IMO
I know it's a fine line and it could have gone to penalties but I think last night told us that we have a much stronger squad than the last time. I can see a good number of last night's squad pressing for regular PL starts and that has to be a good thing considering how well we played on Saturday.

It would disappoint me after all this if he went on loan just when he finally looks to be fit and motivated. He clearly looks, to be a player who can create chances and we may never find out if he could improve on that first season in the PL

When was the last time Burnley as a town was thriving. Being brutally honest lots of fans have no loyalty to the town whatsoever, we visit for football, spend money in maybe one place, go to the game and go home. I want the football club to be successful, and if it is, the town won't suffer from wh...

I wouldn’t care where we are, I’m going to watch my team play and will have a season ticket as long as I can afford one regardless of where we play. Time moves on, and if that’s what’s required to move the club forward then so be it. Maybe let's first see if the current owners move the club forward...

I don't think we are in a MUST need position. We have a strong bench with a few others already at the club who can add significantly to the match day squad. I'm happy to go with what we have unless a Walker type signing presents itself.
We still need some transfers out.

Looking forward to seeing what he has to offer. Could be exactly what we’re missing. Football has always been a game of argument over refereeing decisions, the difference now is the extensive media exposure. I'd be happy to see Liverpool drop out and Isak have to make a grovelling apology to the fans.
There must be better ways for a footballer to handle situations like this. As for short careers, I think we moved on from that argument a long time ago. Especially for footballers playing at top levels.

At this point most will be looking at how the season is set fair to pan out. The Spurs game was disappointing not because we got beat but because we gave away 3 poor goals. If we had set our stall out to defend and got beat by a decent goal but otherwise looked solid you could say we'll do better a...

A tough debut behind a shaky defence today. Once Steve gets settled and Parker works on his defensive shape I think he'll be better protected. I can see why some, are unconvinced based after his first game, expect better showings though
