As a supporter, I agree, I'm not sure he has 'repaid' his transfer fee. But £9m for a striker is peanuts in the PL scheme of things. Now that it looks like Newcastle have agreed a fee with Forest for Elanga I wonder whether we will be any nearer finding out if Trafford goes there this week.

If Wiki is correct it's Happy Birthday Oba today, still only 25. It's my view that it was a wrong match and things weren't helped by his injury going into that PL season with Kompany. I think we'd all like to see him succeed PC but time is running out. If only he didn't get injured so easily. I think he started off the last PL season not too bad which makes his brittleness frustrating.

I think it was the right decision to offer Barnes a contract and I'm not surprised he's signed it. It's clear from posts that he is much loved by the Up The Clarets community.
