As a supporter, I agree, I'm not sure he has 'repaid' his transfer fee. But £9m for a striker is peanuts in the PL scheme of things. I think we'd all like to see him succeed PC but time is running out. If only he didn't get injured so easily. I think he started off the last PL season not too bad which makes his brittleness frustrating.

I think it was the right decision to offer Barnes a contract and I'm not surprised he's signed it. It's clear from posts that he is much loved by the Up The Clarets community.
